Our department’s faculty currently consists of 1 Professor, 2 Associate Professors, 3 Assistant Professors, 3 Research Assistants, and 1 Lecturer. In addition to our core staff, faculty members from various other departments provide academic support for our courses.

Our department, whose foundations were laid in 2008, began admitting students in 2012 after establishing its academic staff and infrastructure. Since 2014, we have also been admitting students to our evening education program. Additionally, we launched our Master’s (M.Sc.) program in October 2015. We proudly celebrated our first undergraduate graduation in June 2016.

Currently, 507 students are enrolled in our department. On average, two-thirds of our students are female and one-third are male. We also have a diverse community with 5% international students. While the majority of our domestic students come from the Aegean, Marmara, and Mediterranean regions, students from other regions of Türkiye constitute 30% of our student body.

Research and Projects
Our department has a strong track record of research and innovation, with over 40 successfully completed projects funded by various national and international institutions. These projects span across our core focus areas, including biomechanics, medical instrumentation, and biomaterials.
